This blue hoodie offering from Vetements in collaboration with Champion reminds me of that one super cool kid in high school. The super cool kid at my school used to smoke menthols during recess and one summer was banging the head cheerleader while her boyfriend was in football practice. This cool kid would wear the most basic clothes like a Champion blue hoodie, white t-shirt, and faded blue jeans. I seem to remember those jeans were slim fitting while other people baggier was better. This hoodie from Vetements is that kid but in the form of clothing. This hoodie looks cool, it feels cool, and it’s cool now. But in 10 years is it still going to be cool or would a regular hoodie from Champion for thirty bucks be good enough? I haven’t been back to a high school reunion yet, but I’m friends with that cool kid on Facebook. I think he works in a pet store.
